Carbon cables
Carbon fibres are used in a wide variety of applications in industry because of their weight advantages and greater rigidity and strength. Already present in aeronautics, space industries, sports and automotive, carbon fibres can play a role in civil and structural engineering and also in offshore.
FibreMax cables made with Carbon T-700 are as strong as steel-wire ropes, polyester or nylon ropes, but offer remarkably smaller diameters and significant less weigth (when compared at the same MBL). This increased strength and weight reduction offers major advantages in terms of easier handling, increasing safety, faster operations and downsizing of constructions.
